Anna is from Spain and Mohamad from Lebanon, and their very international story began when they were studying together in Switzerland. They wanted their wedding welcome party to be a truly unique experience for their 300 guests. This is not such an easy feat when dealing with such a well travelled international group! But working with the couple on the careful selection of venues and vendors, and meticulously designed details and surprises, we certainly pulled it off.
The wedding welcome party was to set the tone for the whole weekend, and it did so in style. The location was the Convent dels Angels, in the heart of Barcelona’s historical Raval quarter. The building now forms part of the MACBA museum of modern art, and is a national heritage site.

This was a rare case where the lighting design came first, and the rest of the concept evolved from there. We selected the colouring of the lighting to highlight the archways, and from there decided on the clean modern lines of the furniture and decorative features. The contrast perfectly enhanced the historical beauty of the venue itself.
The couple wanted the wedding welcome party to build momentum as the night went on, so that guests left on a high, wondering what could be in store for the next day. Signature cocktails, a rectangular bar in the middle of the space, abundant candlelight, sensational entertainment – every detail was meticulously selected with guests’ experience in mind.
We could not have been more blessed with the outstanding team of vendors who made this stunning wedding welcome party possible:
